EXPERIENCE

DJ_Brick has worked as a Disc Jockey since 1992 doing weddings, conventions, singles dances and more.  In the past he co-ran two other disc jockey businesses,  "Alpha/Aurora Productions" with his friend Suvonne Baker.  After Suvonne left to pursue songwriting and performing, Brick teamed up with another friend, Jake Zinn to form "Two Live Dudes".  Jake eventually went his own way and Brick went solo.

Also in the early 1990's, Brick hosted his own musical radio program "Potpourri" with his future "Glowing Dial" co-host, Steve "Archive" Urbaniak, which was heard on the local cable company's Access radio channel.  Brick also produced, directed, edited and sometimes hosted his own tv show "Say What!?" which was seen on the local cable company's Access TV channel.  Both shows ran for about 2 years.

After graduating "Specs Howard School Of Broadcast Arts" in 1998, Brick moved to Traverse City, Michigan to work at WPBN/WTOM TV 7 & 4.  There he was a Production Assistant and Master Control Operator.

Always at home in front of a mic, DJ_Brick also currently produces his own internet radio show called "The Glowing Dial", which he co-hosts with his good friend, Steve "Archive" Urbaniak.  They talk about and play old-time radio programs.  The show was heard on Yesterday USA Radio from 1996 - 2001, took a brief hiatus then returned to the internet via "The Glowing Dial Page".  It is now also featured on "Jerry Haendiges' Olde Tyme Radio Network" and "Stay Tuned America".

EDUCATION

After high school, Brick took some college courses at Oakland Community College then in 1997 he enrolled at "Specs Howard School Of Broadcast Arts" in Southfield, Michigan.  There he concentrated on a video career and in 1998, graduated with a 3.9 g.p.a., the second highest in his class of RTV-11-97.  While there he made commercials, public service announcements, music videos and even shot and edited his class video.  He was chosen by his class to direct their final graded project, a full half-hour newscast.  At his graduation ceremonies, he was awarded with a Special Certificate for Technical Excellence due to his internship at the school as well as the fact that he was always there to help his fellow students with equipment problems in lieu of an instructor.
